Goal/Objectives

To enhance food and nutrition security of small farmers and landless workers in Southwest Bangladesh with a focus on developing resilient livelihoods through promoting sustainable agricultural production and market chain development.

Major Component/Activities

  • Develop farmers’ capacity on farm business planning
  • Scale adoption of proven sustainable farming practices
  • Capacity building on climate smart sustainable agriculture framework (Aquaculture, Horticulture, Soy and Dairy)
  • Capacity building of local market actors on food safety and post-harvest management
  • Organize farmers’ clusters and governance mechanism to collectively source agro inputs and market for their farm produces
  • Knowledge building on nutrition, dietary diversity, sexual & reproductive health & rights (SRHR), Infant & young child feeding (IYCF), health & hygiene
